On October 2 the presentation of the book “Hovhannes Chekijian” by Sergey Arakelyan was held in the RA National Assembly. The book presented in the National Assembly is the author’s 14^th monograph ahead of Hovhannes Chekijian’s 85^th birth anniversary. The RA NA President Galust Sahakyan, the NA deputies and cultural figures attended the presentation.

Hovhannes Chekijian’s friends and art fans talked about him and his book. The Artistic Director of H. Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre Yervand Ghazanchyan presented Chekijian as an artist giving scent and colour to the Motherland, noting: “Chekijian is one of the names decorating century's forehead.”

Sergey Arakelyan has thanked the people supporting the publication of the book, noting that he is proud to beHovhannes Chekijian’s contemporary and through many years he has observed with admiration the triumph of the choir led by him in the whole world. The author of the monographs dedicated to the artists has said that when he received the proposal to write this monograph, he refused. As Sergey Arakelyan has noted: “Hovhannes Chekijian is a big ship, ready for a big sail.” Then he has agreed and has undertaken the creation of the monograph, using the merited conductor’s rich archive.

Then Hovhannes Chekijian thanked the President of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan, the author of the monograph and the participants of the presentation.
