The President of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan sent a congratulatory address on the occasion of the birthday of Armen Jigarkhanyan, the famous actor of the cinema and the theatre, People’s Artist of Armenia, Russia and the USSR, Laureate of State Pirzes. The congratulatory address reads:

Dear Mr Jigarkhanyan, I congratulate you on the occasion of your birthday. Gifted with a creative great potential and talent, you are the inseparable part of the Armenian and Russian culture with your fruitful activity and impressive art launched back to the Soviet times.

You have played many memorable roles in the cinema and the theatre, showing your mastery in different genres and in roles of different plans. Becoming a talented director, you have managed the Moscow Drama Theatre created by yourself, which has its unique place in the cultural life, and which, in parallel with your artistic talent, is also an evidence of an experienced pedagogue and successful director in the person of you.

I am sure that from now on your fervour and energy is still going to serve for enriching the pages of the cinema and the theatre.

Once again congratulating you on the occasion of your birthday, I wish you, dear Mr Jigarkhanyan, health, new creative achievements and all the best.”
