“Dear employees of local self-government, I congratulate you on the occasion of Local Self-Government Day.

The local self-government bodies play a key role in the development of the marzes, regions and communities. During the recent years the system was able to be successfully established and rather substantially build its history.

The local self-government is the first stone in the basis of the complicated system of the administration. Both the society and the power are interested in having that basis reliable in order to have the confidently building house, the Republic of Armenia, also be firm.

The fact that the state is strong with its communities, is not an idea taken from the reality, but is a tried truth. The stability of the super powers and small countries is also based on being developed and organized, because the local self-government, as one of the most important institutes of the state, is a genuine opportunity for the execution of the citizens’ rights, their participation in the most important issues, developing self-organization and initiative in them. I am sure that in the establishment of the civil society and strengthening of democracy the role of significance of the local self-government will more increase in the life of our state year by year.

Dear employees of local self-government, once again congratulating you on the occasion of Local Self-Government Day, I wish you good health, optimism, welfare and successes and new achievements for the benefit of the communities of our country and the Republic of Armenia.”
