On November 10 the parliament began the work of the next four-day sittings.

At the beginning of the sitting by the proposal of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the deputies welcomed the teachers and pupils of Yerevan Nikol Aghbalyan Basic School, who had visited the parliament within the framework of “Open Lesson” programme. The deputies by voting approved the agendas of the NA session and the four-day sittings, as well as the draft decision on debating with special procedure the draft law “On Amending the RA Law “On Amending the Structure of the RA Government.”

Then the parliament continued debating the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Turnover Tax.”

The NA deputies Hovhannes Margaryan, Levon Dokholyan, Ishkhan Khachatryan, Aram Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Edmon Marukyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Lyudmila Sargsyan and Tevan Poghosyan expressed their viewpoints on the draft law.

Mikayel Melkumyan presented the viewpoint of the PAP Faction, and Vahram Baghdasaryan submitted the viewpoint of the RPA Faction.

In his final speech the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vakhtang Mirumyan noted that the problem had been widely considered with the participation of the NGOs representing the interests of the small and medium entrepreneurship entities. Mr Pirumyan touched upon the deputies’ concerns and recommendations, thanked them for concerned debates and expressed readiness for cooperation.

The deputies in the first reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the Structure of the RA Government.” The Government proposed to create a new, RA Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reforms.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Arpine Hovhannisyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The deputies Mher Shahgeldyan and Tevan Poghosyan presented their viewpoints and positions on the draft law.
