On December 8 Danilo Astori, the Vice President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, the President of the Senate accompanied by the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Uruguay Friendship Group Sukias Avetisyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

The President of the Senate laid a wreath at the memorial eternalizing the memory of 1915 Armenian Genocide victims, and bowed and honoured the memory of one and a half million innocent victims.

Sharing his impressions, the President of the Senate Danilo Astori has noted that he is very impressed of how deeply Armenia remembers and keeps bright the memory of the Armenian Genocide.

“In the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide Armenia should be confident that it has a friendly country, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay is next to it and ready to permanently support”, said Danilo Astori.

The Uruguayan high-ranking guest has also been to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got acquainted with the documents ensuring the Armenian Genocide.
