The RA NA President Galust Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 96^th anniversary of the Armenpress news agency. The message reads:

“Dear employees of Armenpress, I congratulate you on the occasion of the 96^th anniversary of the establishment of the first officially created news agency.

Since 1918 when the National Council of the first Republic of Armenia declared the birth of the first news agency, Armenpress has always been in the leading positions of a propagator of state building and news field, being the witness and documentor of a big period of our history.

In the century of the newest technologies the agency keeps pace with time and in today’s mosaic of the news field distinguishes with professional, comprehensive and balanced work style. It is a trustworthy source with its rich information base and special archive for the local and international news stream.

I am confident that in future Armenpress will also continue its good traditions and pleasing work of giving information to the society.
