On March 20 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received Alexander Zhuk, Chancellor of Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, who had come to parliament accompanied by Rouben Mirzakhanyan, Chancellor of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU). Welcoming the Alexander Zhuk in parliament, Galust Sahakyan has noted that he has studied the activity of the educational system of Belarus, and particularly, of Pedagogical University and highly assesses the steps aimed at the Armenian-Belarusian educational cooperation. As President of the Managing Board of Khachatur Abovyan University, Galust Sahakyan has highlighted the cooperation of University with universities of different countries and has noted that they have consulted with Ruben Mirzakhanyan in liberalizing the management of University. In the RA NA President’s word, the state elaborates standards, and the educational system implements them: such approach improves the scientific and educational processes.

Thanking for the reception, Alexander Zhuk, Chancellor of Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, has noted that the University is a century old educational institution and has formed educational traditions. The Chancellor has highlighted the role of Pedagogical University in training of human resources. He has noted that the educational system of Belarus is at the integration phase, and Belarus is going to join the Bologna process. Alexander Zhuk has also highlighted the cooperation of Pedagogical University with the ASPU and has noted that the students’ exchange programme is designed to be carried out: in future 20 Armenian students will be hosted at Maxim Tank State Pedagogical University.
