Open Lesson in the National Assembly
1 / 4

On April 29 within the framework of the NA “Open Doors” programme the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan hosted the pupils and the teachers of the Basic Schools of Saradarapat, Shenik and Argina communities of Armavir Marz. Before the meeting they took a tour in the building of the parliament, were in the NA Session Hall and observed the deputies’ work.

Welcoming the guests the NA Speaker presented the activities of the legislative power, as well as talked about the inner-political situation and the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Galust Sahakyan has touched upon the events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, noting that it is not ended by that, but the demand of the new generation begins. The Head of the parliament also highlighted the participation of the youth in the public and political life of the state.

The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan answered the schoolchildren’s questions, which related to the deputies’ work, the educational programmes, the electoral system, as well as the activities of the religious groups in our country.

At the end of the visit the pupils and the pedagogues have been taken photo with the NA Speaker at the Session Hall.
