On May 7 the parliament continued the work of the extraordinary sitting passing by voting the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day.

The deputies also passed the RA NA decision “On the Special Procedure (working without interval) of Holding of 17 May 2015 Extraordinary Sitting.”

The deputies continued debating in the first reading the package of bills “On Amending the RA Code” and “On Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code” authored by the government.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Edmon Marukyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The NA deputies Gagik Jhangiryan, Koryun Nahapetyan, Arpine Hovhannisyan, Edmon Marukyan, Hovhannes Margaryan and Hovhannes Sahakyan expressed their viewpoints on the issue.

in his final speech the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan touched upon the interpellations sounded in the speeches and gave clarifications.

Afterwards the parliament in the second reading considered the draft law “On Protection of Personal Data” with enclosed package, which submitted the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan.

The legislative package envisaging amendments to the draft law “On Amending the RA Civil Procedure Code” and to a number of other laws.

Edmon Marukyan presented the endorsement of the Committee on the legislative packages.

The MPs debated in the second reading the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Trade and Services” with enclosed package, as well as the package of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Income Tax” and “On Amending the RA Law on Profit Tax,” which submitted the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vakhtang Mirumyan.

The Head of the ANC Faction Levon Zurabyan presented the viewpoint of the faction on the draft laws and informed that they will vote against the package.

In his final speech Vakhtang Mirumyan touched upon the critical speeches and gave clarifications.

The parliament by voting passed the considered five legislative packages. The draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Citizenship” was debated in the second reading and passed.

The package of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Foreigners” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty” was considered in the second reading.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan submitted the endorsement of the Committee on the package of the draft laws.

Afterwards the MPs in the first reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Investigative Committee,” which presented the RA First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Araik Petrosyan.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Vache Terteryan submitted for debate the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government.”

The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial management and Local Self-Government Araik Hovhannisyan submitted the endorsement of the Committee.

In their final speeches Araik Hovhannisyan and Vache Terteryan touched upon the voiced opinions and gave clarifications on the enlargement of the communities.

Vache Terteryan in the first reading also presented the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Community Service.”

The Committee Chairman Stepan Margaryan has noted that the issue has passed into the phase of debates and enjoyed endorsement.

The draft law “On Protection of the Personal data” and the submitted legislative package related to it was debated in the third reading and completely passing.

The financing agreement of the programme “Support of the Sub-Structures and Rural Financing Support” signed in Rome on 12 November 2014 between the RA and the International Fund for  Agricultural Development was debated, which submitted the key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture Armen Harutyunyan.

The debate of the agreement will continue during the NA next sittings.
