On May 9 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received the participants of the seminar titled “The Future of the Bologna System” and the 68th Board Meeting of the European Students’ Union.
Welcoming the attendees, the NA President highlighted the role and participation of the youth in different processes going on in the world.
The NA President expressed satisfaction relating to this fact that the young people hosted in Armenia take part in the festive events of these days.
Touching upon the Armenian Genocide Centennial, Galust Sahakyan informed the youth that during those days a global forum “Against a Crime of Genocide” was held, and in that context in future the RA National Assembly will address all the parliaments to form committees struggling against genocides. The NA President has noted that during the past 100 years Armenia could present the danger of genocides to the international community, stressing that today tendencies of genocide and terrorism are noticed in the world.
In the NA President’s work, any policy should be a consequence of civilization. In Galust Sahakyan’s opinion, the young people should consolidate their efforts to promote the peace, the prosperity and development of states in the 21st century.
During the meeting the NA President answered the questions of the youth, which mainly referred to the new challenges of the Bologna process, the more urgent and important problems of the higher education, the participation of the Armenian Parliament in the educational programmes, the scientific and educational potential of Armenia, etc.
