“I learnt with deep heartfelt pain of the death of the national hero of Armenia, distinguished benefactor Kirk Kirkorian.

The Armenian people lost one of the well-known sons, who residing far from the Motherland, was always living with it, thinking about it, who was connected with its people and Armenia perhaps, not visible for everybody, but with warmest feelings without thunderous announcements about it. He was genuinely a national person and a genuine benefactor.

Kirk Kirkorian’s contribution to a number of big projects relating to Armenia was great, when due to his lavish donations serious moves were recorded in different spheres. He was not only of the most important figures of financial market and a businessman of world level, but he had a special role in Motherland-Diaspora relations, he was the initiator and sponsor of various supports and assistances with practical participation.

At this grave hour of loss I sincerely mourn Kirk Kirkorian’s death and in the name of the RA National Assembly and personally me I offer my condolences and commiseration to his family, his relatives and all those for whom Kirk Kirkorian was dear to heart. The bright memory of the great Armenian and patron will always remain in our grateful hearts,” the NA President’s message reads.
