On July 21 the NA President Galust Sahakyan received Ambassador Traian Hristea, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, who visited the parliament on completion of his mission.
Highly assessing Traian Hristea's activities in Armenia Galust Sahakyan has noted that during his tenure Armenia-EU relations have dynamically developed.
The NA President has documented that in our country the EU Delegation actively and effectively worked in different spheres. Touching upon the cooperation of the National Assembly and the EU Delegation, Galust Sahakyan highlighted the role of the parliaments in the expansion of the inter-state relations.
Traian Hristea, Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, highly assessed the EU-Armenia cooperation.
Mr Hristea especially thanked the President of the National Assembly for the organisation of the Plenary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly to Armenia in March of this year and for decently holding it. The Head of the EU Delegation also expressed his gratitude to the Committees of the National Assembly, with which he closely cooperated during his tenure.
The interlocutors also referred to the constitutional amendments in Armenia, the liberalization process of Armenia-EU entry visas and the further cooperation.
