The NA President’s condolence message reads:

“I learnt with deep pain about the death of one the Armenian football legends, the long-time captain of Ararat Football Club Hovhannes Zanazanyan.

With his death we lost one of the most charismatic, talented and respectable persons of our football and particularly Ararat 73, who was one of the chroniclers of unfading and creditable pages of Armenian football.

Hovhannes Zanazanyan was symbolizing the success of our sport and golden times of our football, giving positive energy to the sport lovers of different ages.

I deeply express my condolences to Hovhannes Zanazanyan’s relatives and friends, the fans of his talent in football and share everybody’s grief.”
