At the Sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations

At the sitting on November 19 the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan debated the Protocol on a Number of Issues of Import and Circulation of the Goods within the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union signed in Burabay on October 16, 2015. The RA Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Suren Karayan presented the protocol.

The debated protocol with the endorsement will be submitted for the ratification of the parliament.

The Committee also debated the bill “On Occupation of Armenia’s Indigenous Lands and Territories by the Turkish Republic and Condemnation of Armenia’s Great Patricide” authored by the NA deputy Zaruhi Postanjyan.

The RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan presented the endorsement of the Government on the bill. He noted that the RA Government did not find expedient the debate and the adoption of the submitted draft law.

After the debate, as a result of voting, the author’s initiative was not endorsed in the Committee.

The members of the Committee summed up the debates on the RA draft law “On the RA State Budget for 2016” regarding the sphere of foreign affairs.
