“I congratulate you on the 23-rd anniversary of the formation of the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
The Brigade’s history is the inseparable part of the formation of the Armenian armed forces and the history of our today’s statehood, which has been created with devotion, unity, with unconditional comprehension of victory and justice.
The 5th Brigade, which was established in 1992 on these days, left indelible notes on the pages of history, proofread errors in them and erased fraud, documenting that what is ours and Armenian, can’t be others, especially when it refers to the soil and territory. Those victories that the 5th Brigade fighters forged, those territories and settlements that were liberated by their blood and sweat, courage and self-sacrifice, restored historical justice, enshrined the truth of the Artsakh Liberation Struggle, the glory of the Armenian armed forces.
With the help of the Artsakh Liberation Struggle, we proved once again that we are able not only to gain moral victories, but to restore the Motherland’s borders and liberate our territories occupied by a foreigner. The command, soldiers, volunteers of the 5th Brigade were the active participants of all this, some of them, unfortunately, at the cost of their lives.
