At the sittings the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs moderated by Koryun Nahapetyan debated the package of the draft laws “On Amending the Code on Administrative Infringements,” “On Amending the RA Law on the Peculiarities of the Administrative Procedure being Implemented on the Violations of the Road Traffic Rules Revealed by Video or Photo Devices,” “On Amending the RA Law on Foreigners,” “On Amending the Administration Basics and Administrative Procedure” and “On Amending the RA Law on Providing Road Traffic Security.”
The RA Deputy Justice Minister Arman Tatoyan and the Head of the Legal Division of the Road Police Arman Chilingaryan detailed the solutions being proposed by the legislative package. The proposal of the Government will enter into force on January 11, 2016.
The Committee members raised numerous questions in the Q & A session, which related to a number of problems in the sphere of providing road traffic security.
Welcoming the reforms being implemented in the sphere and the proposal of the government to solve by law a number of issues, the Committee members highlighted the elaboration of the legislative package including the recommendations submitted to them from the first to the second reading.
As a result of two-day debates, the Committee endorsed the legislative package.
