On December 26, the President of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan visited Gavar Orphanage of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

In the orphanage the NA President, taking a tour in the children’s bedrooms, playing room, classrooms and library, noticed that since his previous visit, which was in December of 2014, some positive changes had taken place there.

The Director of the Orphanage Nikolay Nalbandyan noted that during 2015 two children were adopted from the orphanage, two children were handed over for custody, and six children were returned to their biological families.

The children of the orphanage, with great expectation and excitement, prepared a New Year symbolic folk-tale-performance for the NA President and the attendees.

Thanking for the warm reception, the NA President highly appreciated the work done by the children and teachers of the orphanage and assured that the orphanage would be at the centre of his attention. He welcomed the fact that the orphanage has good conditions and provides warm family environment.

The Head of the Parliament congratulated those present on the occasion of New Year and Holy Nativity, wishing them good health and fulfillment of their innermost dreams.

Let us note that the NA President took many gifts for the children of the orphanage and other things necessary for the orphanage.
