Galust Sahakyan Receives the Ambassador of Kuwait

On February 5, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait Bassam Muhammad Alqabandi.

Welcoming the guest the Head of the parliament has noted that Kuwait is a friendly state for Armenia, and the relations of our countries are at high level. Galust Sahakyan highlighted the further strengthening of the inter-parliamentary ties of the two countries and the development of trade-economic cooperation.

In the National Assembly Speaker’s word, there is a big potential of development of cooperation between Armenia and Kuwait in the political, economic and other spheres.

The National Assembly Speaker underlined that he would gladly support the implementation of the joint programmes between the parliaments of the two countries.

Thanking Galust Sahakyan for the reception, Bassam Muhammad Alqabandi conveyed the greetings of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait and the invitation of the visit to Kuwait.

The Ambassador also highlighted the deepening of the inter-parliamentary cooperation and the activation of the bilateral ties. In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the process of the Constitutional reforms. The Ambassador noted that that step would ensure a serious progress for strengthening of democracy in Armenia.

During the meeting the sides referred a number of regional problems and other issues of bilateral interest.
