On February 12, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan met with the representatives of Kurdistan Committee.

Thanking Elinar Vardanyan for the meeting, the guests presented the activities of Kurdistan Committee.

The representatives of Kurdistan Committee expressed their concern on the complicated situation created over the Kurds in Turkish Kurdistan at present. The guests have noted that they expect the attitude of the National Assembly over the created situation.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan assured that the problem would be thoroughly discussed in the Committee and expressed relevant attitude. Elinar Vardanyan also noted that the problem will be voiced in the local and international NGOs, as well as in the international structures.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors also touched upon the issues regarding the Kurdish women and children.

At the end of the meeting Mrs Vardanyan highlighted such meetings, expecting effective cooperation.
