On February 29, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan met with Andrey Sorokin, the Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan on the occasion of the completion of the latter’s working activities in Armenia.

Thanking the Ambassador for his personal contribution, Koryun Nahapetyan highly assessed the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan to the activities of the Committee and emphasized the joint programmes with the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, where the Office had a significant participation. The Committee Chairman, particularly, underlined the support of the implementation of the international seminar on the theme “The Budget Planning of the Defense Sphere and the Effective Control of the Expenditures” and the visits of the delegations of the Committee to Montenegro and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ambassador Sorokin has expressed his satisfaction for the effective cooperation, noting that the partnership with the Committee is at high level, which is a favourable basis for more deepening it in future.
