On March 17, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan, the Deputy Chairman Alexander Arzumanyan, the Committee members Karen Bekaryan and Mher Shahgeldyan received Samvel Mkrtchyan, the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Lebanon.

Welcoming the guest, the Committee members congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of his appointment and expressed conviction that he would do his best during his tenure to promote the development of the Armenian-Lebanese parliamentary relations.

In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the important role of the Armenian community in the development and deepening of bilateral relations.

Talking about the current level of the Armenian-Lebanese relations, the Ambassador also highlighted the activation of cooperation in the trade-economic, cultural and tourism and investment encouraging spheres.

Artak Zakaryan has assured that the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations is always ready to support the RA Embassy in the all upcoming initiatives.
