On March 25, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan met with the representatives of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) Heriknaz Tigranyan, Sona Ayvazyan and the representative of the European Center for Non-for- Profit Law Organisation Eszter Hartay.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors touched upon the package of the RA Law on NGOs and the enclosed legislative amendments, presented their proposals in some provisions, which related to the right to being involved in the entrepreneurship activities of the NGOs, the article on volunteers, the possibility of applying to court, as well as the restrictions of creating NGOs.

Elinar Vardanyan informed the attendees that the proposals were debated in the Committee. According to the Committee Chair, in the Committee members' opinion a number of recommendations were controversial and need to be specified. Thanking the participants for proposals Elinar Vardanyan has noted that they are ready to once again discuss the matter to have a package as a result, which will be admissible by the NGOs and will promote their activities.
