On April 19, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov in Moscow had a press in the framework of the conference titled “The Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation for the Benefit of the Joint Welfare of the Eurasian Regional Countries in the 21st Century,” where the Russian media also took part.

During the press conference the RA NA Deputy Speaker highly assessed the conference as an event aimed at ensuring the security and welfare of the countries.

Talking about the security and welfare Eduard Sharmazanov has noticed that at this moment Turkey and Azerbaijan are considered to be threat of security and welfare for the region. Azerbaijan, as a state unleashing immediate military aggression, and Turkey is the only state in the world, which supports Azerbaijan in those criminal actions, as well as closing the borders with Armenia keeps the country, in fact, under blockade.

Eduard Sharmazanov reminded the journalists that the Republic of Armenia has always seen and sees the only way of solving the problems exclusively within the peaceful settlement, in the issue of Artsakh in the frames of the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and in accordance with international humanitarian rules. He also documented that the Azerbaijani authorities permanently make bellicose statements rejecting both all international humanitarian and Minsk Group norms for the settlement of the problem.

At the end of the press conference the RA NA Deputy Speaker once again urged Azerbaijan to stop the aggression for the mere reason that the people of Nagorno Karabakh Republic has the right to live free, secure and independent.
