On May 6, according to April 18 Order of the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan handed the RA NA Medal of Honour to the General Secretary of Switzerland-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Sargis Shahinian for his pro-Armenian activities and the significant contribution to the strengthening of the inter-parliamentary friendship relations.

The Head of the NA Armenia-Switzerland Friendship Group Ara Babloyan, the members of the Group and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Armenia Lukas Gasser took part in the event.

Handing the award to Sargis Shahinian and congratulating him the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan highly assessed his pro-state and pro-Armenian activities. Mrs Naghdalyan has underlined with satisfaction that Mr Shahinian has significant contribution to more strengthening of the ties between the two states, parliaments and peoples.

Sargis Shahinian thanked the NA Deputy Speaker for the high award and noted that from now on he would carry on his practical support to strengthening of the Armenian-Swiss friendly ties.
