On May 24, the Head of Armenia-Italy Friendship Group of the National Assembly Koryun Nahapetyan met with the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Italy Victoria Bagdassarian.

Welcoming the newly appointed Ambassador Koryun Nahapetyan congratulated her on the occasion of the diplomatic mission and wished her fruitful work. He has underlined that the Armenian-Italian relations develop in constructive way, involve numerous directions and expressed hope that the Ambassador in her turn will promote more development and deepening of cooperation of the two countries.

The sides discussed the perspectives of the development of the bilateral political relations, in that issue especially highlighting the steps taken to the activation of the parliamentary relations and the cooperation in the international parliamentary structures. Koryun Nahapetyan highlighted the development of the political dialogue.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts over the perspectives of the development of the Armenian-Italian economic relations, discussed the possibilities of cooperating in the spheres of tourism, culture, science and education and touched upon concrete programmes.
