On May 27, the press conference of the member of the RA NA Delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Hovhannes Margaryan took place, during which he presented details on the works of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee Meeting held in Athens on May 22-25.
Hovhannes Margaryan noted that one of the agenda items had been the issue regarding the refugees of the BSEC 12 countries. The deputy considered the debated issue concerning for Armenia and other countries. Hovhannes Margaryan informed that Armenia submitted a comprehensive report on the theme, where it read about the amendments made in the protection of the refugees’ rights in Armenia.
The members of the Azerbaijani Delegation in their speeches voiced false accusations addressing Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh on the issue under debate, mentioning the existence of a great number of refugees in Azerbaijan, to which the Armenian Delegation reversed and presented substantial anti-arguments, saying that once again the deputies of Azerbaijan made their well-known provocation.
At the meeting items were debated, which should be included in the agenda of the upcoming Plenary Session of the Assembly. The Azerbaijani Delegation presented a number of recommendations on making amendments to agenda items, but they were not adopted, as according to the statute, all the items in the structure should be adopted by consensus.
At the Meeting Hovhannes Margaryan was re-elected Vice Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Standing Committee.
Hovhannes Margaryan also answered the journalists’ questions.
