On August 9, the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Head of the NA Armenia-China friendship group Hermine Naghdalyan met Secretary General of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the Heilongjiang Province of the People’s Republic of China, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations Guan He Bin, the Assistant to the Head of the Division of  Exhibition and Convention Administration, Responsible for Harbin in the Ministry of Commerce   Zhang Yuyhun and representative from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the Heilongjiang Province of the People’s Republic of China Lu Nan.

Welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, Hemine Naghdalyan emphasized the Armenian-Chinese continuous friendship, the high level of interstate relations between Armenia and China , in strengthening and developing which the RA President’s official visit to People’s Republic of China was pivotal. During the state visit a number of contracts had been signed in various fields with China , which promoted the implementation of joint programs in economics and other areas.

In this context the RA NA Deputy Speaker highlighted the deepening and expansion of relations at governmental level, which promoted the Armenian Prime Minister’s visit to the PRC last year.

In raising the Armenian-Chinese relations to a new level Hermine Naghdalyan attached importance to the role of the two parliaments, the development and extension of interparliamentary ties.

It has been noted that as a result of the educational programs the number of the Armenian students studying in Chinese universities rises each year.

The NA Deputy Speaker also spotlighted the interaction between public and private sectors in economic area, which will give the desired results.

Addressing the guests, Hermine Nagdalyan on behalf of the Armenian Parliament expressed readiness to support their program in our country.

Secretary General of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the Heilongjiang Province of the People’s Republic of China , Head of the Department of International Economic Relations Guan He Bin thanked for the warm and sincere reception and highlighted the expansion and development of friendly ties between the two states. 

Guan He Bin presented the brief economic and political history of the PRC Heilongjiang Province and the city of Harbin . Touching upon the visit to Armenia , he emphasized the importance of economic ties, and outlining and implementation of mutual tourism development programs.

During the meeting various other issues pertaining to cooperation in different spheres were also discussed.  

Let’s note that the NA MP, member of Armenia-China friendship group Ruzanna Muradyan was also attending the meeting.
