On September 7, the meeting at the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Youth and Sport moderated by Artak Davtyan was held.

The legislative package of the RA Law on Amendments to the RA Law on Graduate and Postgraduate Professional Education and the RA Law on Amendments to the RA Law on Education was on the agenda of the meeting. 

Adopting the bill, it is expected to define equal standards and requirements for the organization of entrance exams for on-campus and distance learning of Bachelor’s degree in higher educational institutions, ensuring improvement of education quality, effective functioning of the integral system – primary task of the educational sphere.  

The Committee member Ruzanna Murayan and Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan in their related reports highlighted the proposed amendments and mentioned that they will be thoroughly discussed also in the context of amendments to the abovementioned laws in the future. 

As a result of the considerations the legislative package is to be included in the draft agenda of the upcoming NA 4-day sittings with the Committee’s endorsement.
