On September 16, the President of the RA National Assembly, the President of the Board of Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Galust Sahakyan took part in the sworn-in ceremony of the first year students of different faculties of the higher educational institution, which traditionally takes place in the Khachatur Abovyan House-Museum.

Congratulating the first year students and highly assessing their chosen profession, the President of the RA National Assembly considered significant the ceremony and urged the students to remain faithful to their oath.

“If you want to serve the nation, you should get well educated, as our state needs literate youth. Every year Pedagogical University tries to further upgrade the educational programmes, opening before you new ways of science,” the NA President said.

The ASPU Chancellor Ruben Mirzakhanyan also congratulating the students has noted that after graduating from University they will enter school as pedagogues, having as a basis knowledgeable and democratic generation.
