On September 16, the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan met with the members of Group of South California /Local 721/ of the Service Employees International Union /SEIU/ Steven Hovo Gimian, Shoushan Kevranian Baghboudarian, Silva Kechichian and Kathy Saboundjian, who arrived in Armenia to take part in the events of the 25^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

Hakob Hakobyan, welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, noted that the guests’ visit will be an impetus for the strengthening of the ties and the exchange of experience. The guests presented the activities of their Union, highlighting the cooperation and the exchange of experience with the trade unions functioning in Armenia.

At the meeting, the interlocutors also touched upon the matters of protection of employees’ rights, as well as emphasized the repatriation programmes and the boosting of investments.
