On February 22, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov received the parliamentarians of the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Alicia Canqui Condori, Nelly Lenz Roso, and Mario Mita Daza, who visited our country after taking part in the Constitutional Referendum of the Republic of Artsakh with observation mission. The NA deputies Gagik Melikyan and Alexander Arzumanyan also attended the meeting.
Welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, the NA Deputy Speaker highly assessed the development of the relations of the two states and in that issue, the parliamentarians’ role. In this context Mr Sharmazanov expressed conviction that those relations will deepen and turn into new phase of development in future.
Mr Sharmazanov highlighted the Bolivian parliamentarians’ visit to the Republic of Artsakh and their participation in the Constitutional Referendum with observation mission, noting that it once again proves that the Plurinational State of Bolivia is a propagator of freedom, democracy and protection of human rights.
“As any people, so the people of Artsakh have the right of self-determination,” the NA Deputy Speaker underlined.
On behalf of him and our country Eduard Sharmazanov thanked the parliament of Bolivia for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
The NA Deputy Speaker also touched upon the coordinated work of the delegations of the two states in the inter-parliamentary platforms and emphasized the supporting of each other in the issues of mutual interest.
Welcoming the Armenian parliamentarians, on behalf of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and the Boloivians the parliamentarians of Bolivia stressed that Bolivia had passed through the struggle of self-determination and freedom, they understand well the fair struggle of Artsakh people.
“Our hearts are with Artsakh and the Armenian people. It was an honour for us to take part in the Constitutional Referendum of Artsakh, which was a festivity for Artsakh people. The people should determine its destiny, which is welcoming for the development of the country,” Nelly Lenz Roso noted.
The sides emphasized the rapprochement of the relations between the two states, the friendly mutual visits and the cooperation in the inter-parliamentarians platforms.
