On July 3, the Chair of NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan received the Head of Konrad Adenauer Foundation Stiftung/Foundation (KAS) South Caucasus Regional Programme Thomas Schrapel and the member of the Executive Body of the German Christian-Democratic Union Party, Former Chair of Thüringia Landtag ( P arliament) Dagmar Schipanski.
Welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, Armen Ashotyan highlighted the development of the inter-parliamentary relations with Germany, close cooperation in different spheres and in this context the role and the efforts of Konrad Adenauer Fund. In his word the Committee Chair presented viewpoints over the perspectives of the consistent development of bilateral relations. Armen Ashotyan also emphasized the possibilities of development of party relations with the European states and noted that in the context of the development of multi-party culture Armenia greatly highlights the European experience and passed path.
In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the developments of the scientific research sphere, as well as the perspectives of economic cooperation.
Within the framework of the cooperation priorities in the scientific research sphere Armen Ashotyan has underlined that Armenia greatly highlights the possibilities of the foreign private companies' involvement. Within the framework of the science sphere Armenia's joing to Horizon-2020 programme was emphasized.
Both sides also referred to the strategy of the development of the economic development. Armen Ashotyan spotlighted the use of the innovative approaches in the sphere for neutralizing the challenges conditioned by the geographical position.
During the meeting both sides also talked about the achievements of the information technologies. The achievements of the leading companies functioning in Armenia in the international market were presented. In this context Armen Ashotyan also highlighted the role and potential of the Armenian Diaspora in the creation of the new possibilities in the sphere and for the local young scientists.
During the talk the sides also touched upon the perspectives of cooperation with Germany in different spheres.
