On June 21, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan received the Chancellor of Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) Koryun Atoyan, the Director of Amberd Research Center Armen Grigoryan and the researchers.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan and the RA NA deputies took part in the meeting.

During the meeting the participants discussed the possibilities of cooperation of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Armenian State University of Economics and Amberd Research Center.

The Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan has highly assessed the cooperation between Amberd Research Center and the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, noting that at the current phase of the parliamentary government the responsibility of the National Assembly has increased in the economic development of our country.

Highlighting the cooperation between the sides, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan noted that from now on the expert-advisers of the Committee will be the researchers of the Center.

Thanking the RA NA Speaker and the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan, the ASUE Chancellor Koryun Atoyan evaluated the cooperation, underlining that it will promote the elaboration and adoption of laws on economic issues.

Speaking as an economist and lecturer of the same University, the RA NA Deputy Speaker expressed hope that the cooperation will give an opportunity for the implementation of the inclusive works.

An agreement was reached that the ASUE on behalf of Amberd Research Center becomes a scientific adviser-partner of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

At the end of the meeting Khosrov Harutyunyan and Koryun Atoyan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
