On September 22, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan took part in the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian-American Wellness Center (AAWC), which attended the RA First Lady Rita Sargsyan, the RA Minister of Healthcare Levon Altunyan, the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and entrepreneur and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan.
Congratulating the attendees on the 26th anniversary of Independence of Armenia, the Speaker of the Parliament noted that since independence numerous achievements of the Armenian people’s newest history had begun, also including in the sphere of health care. One of them is the Armenian-American Wellness Center with its high quality medical personnel and splendid building.
In the RA NA Speaker’s word, first of all the Armenian-American Wellness Center with its existence is obliged to those, by whose efforts and material and moral support the health system of Armenia was added by an organization two decades ago.
Ara Babloyan also noted that, he also being RA Minister of Health, took part in the creation of the AAWC, and he personally knows the founders of the center Rita Balian, Hranush Hakobyan, Khachanush Hakobyan, as well as most of the medical personnel members.
The RA NA Speaker has expressed confidence that their professional capabilities promote the improvement of the health and life quality of our population.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian-American Wellness Center the Head of the Parliament awarded the Founder of the AAWC Rita Balian the RA National Assembly Diploma, and the AAWC Director Kachanush Hakobyan was awarded the RA National Assembly Speaker’s Memorial Medal.
