On September 22, in the foyer next to the Session Hall of the RA National Assembly the exhibition of the works of the well-known New York based painter Rudik Petrosyan from Artsakh was opened. It is dedicated to the 26th anniversary of Independence of Armenia.
The RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan, the RA NA deputies, representatives of the RA NA Staff, artists and journalists were present in the event.
In his opening word the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan noted: “Rudik Petrosyan’s work is not only an opportunity to be related to the high art, but it is an intimate contact through the language of images with the beauty, high taste and colourful luxurious imagination. The sincerity and depth of his works always enchanted the art lovers’ attention. Now Rudik Petrosyan lives in New York, but the Motherland with its inner and external warmth is present in his works.”
The RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan awarded Rudik Petrosyan the RA National Assembly Speaker’s Memorial Medal for his great merit in the development of the Armenian culture and worthy presenting the Armenian art on the international platforms.
Painter Rudik Petrosyan thanked the organizers of the exhibition, the attendees, the RA NA Speaker for honouring him the high award, as well as for giving an opportunity to show his works in the parliament.
“My successes are the duties coming from our people’s sources and roots. There is obligation in my colours and in my brush strokes: every drop of blood of our victims obligates to be a high qualified and a professional artist,” Rudik Petrosyan noted in his word.
