On October 6, the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly Arpine Hovhannisyan took part in the 112th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission, European Commission for Democracy through Law. During the Session Arpine Hovhannisyan made a report, presenting the current situation of the revision of the necessary legal acts for the full implementation of the new provisions of the RA Constitution and their debate in the RA National Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly highly assessed the continuous cooperation with the Venice Commission and noted that three constitutional laws out of four already passed laws by the National Assembly received the conclusion of the Venice Commission, which greatly promoted that those laws complied with the international best experience and standards. At the same time Arpine Hovhannisyan expressed conviction that the effective cooperation with the Commission would also continue in the process of other laws’ revision conditioned by the amendments of the Constitution.
