RA National AssemblyEnds Work of Regular Sittings

On January 17, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and passed by voting the draft laws and legislative packages debated on the previous day.

The RA Deputy Head of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan in the first reading presented the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Law on Police.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Koryun Nahapetyan noted that the legislative initiative was debated and endorsed in the Committee.

The RA NA deputies Naira Zohrabyan, Edmon Marukyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Artak Zeynalyan and Ararat Zurabyan delivered speeches on the legislative initiative.

Gevorg Petrosyan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA Tsarukyan .

In his extraordinary speech the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov noted that the parliament should vote for the draft law.

In his final speech Koryun Nahapetyan has opined that the goal of the draft law is real and legitimate, and it is based on the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.

In his final speech Vardan Yeghiazaryan has assured that the draft law has a goal to regulate and specify the functions of the police.

The Parliament by voting passed the debated legislative draft law.
