RA NA Standing Committees Convene Sittings

At March 16 sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderared by Hakob Hakobyan debated in the second reading the package of the draft law on Transplanting Organs and (or) Tissues and the enclosed draft laws.

The RA Minister of Health Care Sergey Khachatryan and the Committee Chair Hakob Hakobyan expressed their viewpoints on the package of the draft law.

The Committee proposed to include the package with the endorsement in the second reading in the draft agenda of March 20-24, 2018 NA sittings.

The Committee also considered in the second reading the draft law on Provision of Sanitary-Epidemiological Security of the RA Population and package with the enclosed draft laws.

At the next sitting moderated by Vardevan Grigoryan the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment debated a number of bills and endorsed them.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Davit Lokyan, the RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan and the First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan presented the bills for debate.

The debated draft laws will be included in the draft laws of the agenda of the third session of the RA NA sixth convocation and the upcoming next sittings.

On the same day the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport moderated by Vardan Bostanjyan was held.

The RA Minister of Science and Education Levon Mkrtchyan presented for debate the RA Law on Higher Education and the enclosed package of laws.

The Committee Chair Vardan Bostanjyan presented his viewpoints on the package under debate, highlighting the provision of education quality and competitiveness.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA law on Television and Radio and on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA law on Joint Stock Companies.

The RA NA deputy Arman Saghatelyan drew the attention of the Committee to the problems existing in the law and his considerations on the draft law under debate.

The debated draft laws were endorsed and included in the draft law of the NA upcoming sittings’ agenda.

Summing up the work of the sitting the Committee Chair Vardan Bostanjyan noted that a few days ago the Committee members visited Gyumri to get acquainted with the problems in Shirak State University.
