On April 22 documentary materials and photos on the first Genocide of the 20th century – the Armenian Genocide, were exhibited in National Assembly. In his opening speech NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan mentioned that this event confirms once more the firm position of our parliament on condemning the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish state.
At the same time, this is a call directed to the countries that haven’t recognized the Armenian Genocide. Year by year the number of countries that recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide is increasing. Only the realization and condemnation of this historical injustice by the world public, as well as by the Turkish state can exclude the repetition of such phenomena and can become basis for civilized relations and mutual confidence between two countries.
