On April 26, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Armenia Gonzalo Urriolabeitia.
Welcoming the guest in the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan touched upon the opportunities of the development of the Armenian-Argentine relations, in this context highlighting the role of the parliamentary cooperation. The Committee Chair has noted that the Armenian-Argentine inter-parliamentary relations have great potential of development, and the Armenian side is ready to make efforts for the development and deepening of relations with the parliament of Argentina.
Within the framework of the inter-parliamentary cooperation Ruben Rubinyan emphasized the effective and mutually cooperative activity of the Friendship Groups in the two states' legislative bodies, expressing hope that in this format the further cooperation would reflect upon the high level of relations between Armenia and Argentina.
During the meeting the sides underlined the importance of the closer cooperation, particularly in the spheres of economy and culture, as well as the boosting of ties in the development of tourism.
