At Extraordinary Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs

On March 25, the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan, where the legislative package on Amending the Law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Duty and on Amending the Law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Notice of Activity Implementation authored by the Government was debated in the second reading and endorsed.

As the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan informed the recommendations had not been presented on the package of draft laws.

The legislative package proposes to extend the term of the state duty payment fixed for the importing cement from Iran to Armenia until 31 December 2020, which is now fixed until April 1.

According to the Deputy Speaker, the initiative is conditioned by the necessity of boosting the inner production of the cement, the product of strategic significance for the republic and providing the continuity of equal competitive field for the producing cement on the spot.
