On April 17, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings. The bills debated on the previous day were passed by voting.

The MPs continued the debate of the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes through the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Aleksey Sandikov presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.

Afterwards the RA NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan delivered a speech and noted that the adoption of the draft law on Levying the Property of Illegal Origin caused a reason for discrediting the authorities.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan presented for debate the draft law on Ratifying the Loan Agreement - Road Network Improvement Project - Second Additional Financing of the of Vital Importance between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs presented the endorsement of the draft law.

Naira Zohrabyan delivered a speech on behalf of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction.

The legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on the RA Administrative Territorial Division and on Making Addendum and Amendment to the RA Law on Local Self-Government.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan informed that the package was revised.

The Head Committee endorsed the package of the draft laws.

Arman Abovyan gave a speech on behalf of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction, considering inexpedient the enlargement of the communities.

The bill on Amending the RA Land Code presented by the Government was debated in the second reading.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment presented the endorsement of the draft law.

Gegham Gevorgyan, the Chairman of the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition presented the RA draft law on Ratifying the Protocol on Joining the Agreement of 12 November 2014 on the Order of Protection of Secret Information and Its Publication While Implementing the Control Authorities towards the United Regulations of Competition by the Eurasian Economic Commission of the Republic of Armenia.

The Chair of the RA Regional and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan noted that the draft law was endorsed in the Committee and called on his colleagues to vote for it.

The NA deputy Gevorg Papoyan presented the RA draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan has noted that the Government has positive position on the draft law.

The Chairman of the NA Counting Committee of the RA NA seventh convocation Vahagn Hovakimyan presented the results of the election of the RA Central Bank Chairman’s candidate. 119 MPs took part in the voting of the election the CB Chairman’s candidate. Martin Galstyan was elected the RA CB Chairman with 104 for and 15 against votes.

The RA Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Edvard Hovhannisyan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the Government.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Sergey Atomyan answered to the MPs’ questions concerning the legislative regulations of the draft law and noted that it was debated in detail in the Committee, and he called on his colleagues to vote for it at the convenient moment.

The parliament debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on the Customs Regulation presented by the deputies of the NA My Step Faction Sisak Gabielyan and Hakob Simidyan.

The National Assembly passed by voting the debated draft laws and covering the agenda ended the work of the regular sittings.
