On October 6, at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan the draft law on Making Addendum to the law on Defense authored by the government was debated in the second reading and was endorsed.

The Secretary of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan proposed the law to enter into force not on the tenth day following the day of the official issuance, but on the following day of the issuance day. The proposal was accepted.

Let us remind that the executive body proposes also to include the competence of approving the mobilization plan of the economy of the republic among the powers of the government in the sphere of defense.
