On May 7, the Parliament debated the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on International Road Transport of Passengers and Goods.
According to the key rapporteur, the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, the document signed between the two countries on 28 October 2019, will contribute to boosting of mutually beneficial economic and business ties.
New notions were filled in by the Agreement, the general provisions on the transport of passengers were set and cases on the provision of permissions for the transport of goods and cases of release from the permissions were clarified. The requirements of levying and taxes were reviewed.
“The provisions designed by the Agreement correspond to the requirements set by the international Agreement on the road transport and the legislations of contracting states parties,” Simonyan concluded.
In her co-report, the committee member Hripsime Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. The deputy called on to vote in favor of it and ratify the Agreement.
