At 1919 parliamentary elections, the ARF presented a list of 100 candidates. We present the first five of them.
“1. Sahakian Avetik – Agronomist, Chairman of the Armenian Council
2. Kajaznuni Hovhannes – Engineer, President of the Armenian Government
3. Aharonian Avetik - Writer, Chairman of the Peace Delegation of Armenia
4. Pastrmachian Garegin - Chemist, Agronomist, former MP of the Ottoman Empire
5. Varandian MIkayel - Publicist, Editor of Droshak/Flag, Member of the International Socialist Bureau
The list of the Armenian People’s Party Candidates was comprised of 53 people. The first five were the following:
“1. Papajanian Mikayel – Lawyer, Former Member of the State Duma, Member of Paris Conference Delegation
2. Harutyunian Samson – Lawyer, Minister of Justice
3. Vermishian Kristafor – Agronomist, Minister of Food
4. Ayvazian Harutiun 0 Doctor, Former Member of the State Duma
5. Sargsian Levon (Sympathizer, Independent Socialist), Candidate of Natural Sciences, Mayor of Alexandropol
The Socialist-Revolutionaries presented a list of 35 people:
“Sahakian Sako – Economist, Member of the All-Russian Council
3. Zubian Davit – Lawyer, Member of the Armenian Council and Former
4. Tumanian Levon – Lawyer, Member of All-Russian Constitutional Assembly, Member of the Armenian Council
5. Minakhorian Vahan – Revolutionary Figure, Member of the Armenian Council.”
There were also Non-Partisans: Non-Partisan Union of Workers and Villagers presented a list of 18 people, including peasants and gardeners.
“1. Artashes Melkonian – Doctor, Villager from Karbi
2. Drastamat Ter-Mkrtchian – Doctor, Villager from Parbi
3. Bayram Sultanov – Peasant, Villager from Agarak
4. Akhund Jalil Kealbalah Namagh Oghli – Cultivator from the Village Yaghdz
5. Hayk Shahazizian – Gardener from the Village Ashtarak
The foreigners also took part in the parliamentary elections. There were candidates of Kurdish origin:
“Shamshadinov Ahmed-Bek – Public Commissar
2. Shamshadinov Alashraf-Bek – Mayor-General.
