At March 1 sitting, the deputies debated in the first reading the amendments being proposed to the law on State Regulation of Ensuring Technical Safety.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Ara Nazaryan, a number of technical regulations functioning in the sphere of technical safety, on which technical safety examinations are carried out, will be recognized invalid from April. The EEAU regulations, by which it is not possible to carry out relevant examination, will be in force instead of them.
“The requirements on product safety are regulated by the EEAU regulations, and the requirements ensuring technical safety of the production dangerous entities’ operation are set by the national technical regulations. Hence, a necessity emerged to have authority to accept technical norms, rules instructions in the sphere of technical safety by the Government,” the Deputy Minister noted.
Amendments of editorial character also are made by the draft law.
The member of the NA Standing (Head) Committee on Economic Affairs Narek Ghahramanyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.
