“The National Assembly of the eighth convocation further develop the Armenian-Russian relations,” the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction, the representative of the Russian community Aleksey Sandikov noted during the meeting with the students of Yerevan State University and the RA Public Administration Academy on April 13.
The students pass one-month probation period in the National Assembly.
At the meeting the representative of the Russian community has emphasized the parliamentary platforms, where the Armenian and Russian deputies cooperate.
Sandikov has underlined that this year is a jubilee year: the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia, as well as the 25th anniversary of the treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.
Touching upon the representation of the national minorities in parliament, the deputy detailed that according to the D’Hondt Method, beginning from the NA of the six convocation, the four big number of national minorities of Armenia (Yazidi, Russian, Assyrian and Kurdish) have one representative in parliament.
Aleksey Sandikov has stated that the representatives of the national minorities voice the problems of their communities in the legislative body and try to find versions for their solution.
