1 / 13

“The works carried out with young people by the We Can NGO are impressive and inspiring, because they are given the opportunity to learn modern and young art, which tries to immortalize a moment of life, a breath, an episode and immortalize it for future generations through a photo. There are already many photos known in history, which have changed and revolutionized the world, made people feel and share the feelings and experiences that the authors had,” the Chief of Staff, Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Naribekyan said at the opening of the photo exhibition of the students of the We Can organization for the protection of the interests of mentally challenged youth, children and their families in parliament.

The young photographers have brought a little love and light to the National Assembly, giving the deputies and the NA Staff the opportunity to see the world through their eyes.

“The exhibition gives children the opportunity to express themselves through photos, to engage in art on an equal basis with everyone, using the right to education,” the Head of the NGO Armine Sahakyan noted.

She underlined that one of the important functions of the organization is the protection of the interests in the field of education and creation of developing educational programs. Armine Sahakyan informed that today’s exhibition presents the photos that have already managed to be in many exhibitions, in various art and cultural institutions.

Ruzanna Ghazaryan, pupil of We Can, who has become a member of the working group over the years, spoke about the NGO and the opportunities provided by it.

“The courses held in the organization helped one to find beauty in another person, and the other to choose a profession. Thanks to photography, we found the beauty of the world around us,” she said.

The young photographers were given the opportunity to present their works, emotions and feelings they had while taking the photos to the NA deputies and the employees during the exhibition.
