“The participants of the regular program implemented with the staff of the National Assembly and the International Republican Institute (IRI) are the experts of the NA Standing Committees. The National Assembly has always attached importance to the development of the employees’ capacity and knowledge. Cooperating with the international partners, a unique platform for the transfer of the best international experience and skills was created,” the RA NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan said.
A group of experts from the Standing Committees of the National Assembly participated in the second stage of the Communication School of the NA Committees program, which took place in October-November 2022.
The program was implemented by the International Republican Institute (IRI) in support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The purpose of the course is to arm the experts of the Committees with knowledge in the field of digital media, to use the possibilities of social media, including social websites, to publicize the activities of the Committees, to ensure communication with the public on these platforms as well.
On December 14, Vahan Naribekyan handed over certificates to the experts of the NA Committees in connection with the successful completion of the two-stage courses.
According to the experts who participated in the course, they received basic knowledge about providing information to the media about the work of the Committees, as well as about presenting it on social networks. During the course, effective steps aimed at ensuring cyber security and information security were presented. The participants practically got acquainted with overcoming internet trolling, types of communication approaches. Vahan Naribekyan thanked the partners of the International Republican Institute (IRI) for completing another successful initiative, expressing hope that this cooperation will have a long life and a history of even greater successes.
