On May 29, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly Sargis Khandanyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Armenia Kirsti Narinen.
Welcoming the guests, Sargis Khnadanyan highlighted the development of the relations between the parliaments of the two countries, underscoring that there is a great potential of interaction. In this context the sides spoke about the necessity of deepening cooperation between the parliamentary Friendship Groups.
The Committee Chair valued the collaboration with Finland also in the format of Armenia-European Union relationship.
Sargis Khandanyan presented the security situation in Armenia, highly assessed the role of the EU Civilian Observation Mission. The MP also introduced the Crossroads of Peace initiative authored by the RA Government.
At the meeting reference was made to the key themes of the RA-EU Partnership Enhancing agenda.
